This Privacy Policy explains how Skoutrr, operated by Jordan Rey Melendez ("Skoutrr", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use skoutrr.com and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, and profile details you provide when signing up (including via Google sign-in).
• Business & listing data: business name, contact email, phone, website, and the event listings and photos you submit.
• Usage data: approximate location you set, favorites, saved routes, listing views, and device/log information.
• Payment data: handled by Paddle (see below). We do not store your full card details.

How and why we use your data (legal basis)

• To provide and operate the Service and your account — performance of a contract.
• To process payments and subscriptions — performance of a contract.
• To improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, and to prevent abuse — legitimate interests.
• To send service-related or, where permitted, marketing messages — consent or legitimate interests.
• To comply with legal and tax obligations — legal obligation.

Payments & Paddle (Merchant of Record)

All purchases (Pro Vendor subscriptions and listing boosts) are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing information under Paddle's Privacy Policy. We receive limited transaction data (such as subscription status and the last digits/type of card) to manage your account.

Sharing your data

We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service — including Paddle (payments), our cloud hosting and database provider, and authentication providers. We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention

We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active. After account closure we delete or anonymize personal data within 90 days, except where we must retain records (for example, transaction and tax records) for the period required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@skoutrr.com. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of significant incidents where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
